i like this! (listening to the original mix first) really nicely mixed and mastered. That first melodic synth sound that comes in is really nice. really cool how it progresses so slowly but surely, like its emerging fromsomewhere. 2:45 when it all drops again is quite cool, but i dont feel it built up enough for that drop to be justified, but thats just taste. break sounds really nice Very suited to the name. i like this style, its really appropriately mixed and made so that all the sounds compliment each other perfectly. so even with minimalistic use of sounds, it sounds full and does what it needs to do. i also like how the trakc has been varied to avoid repetitiveness. And now another breaky bit... cool! percs, kick, synths, bass, effects, all work realy well in this, i like it
Now for the remix:
wow nice start, cool kick and percs! i really cant tell that these are 80 kbs, they sound soo crisp. the kick in the remix is perfect i think. and percs again are awsome. Then the bass, thats good to, simple but very effctive, 3:30 ish where the beat drops thats awsome, all sounds really cool there, and that synth filtering up, again, awsome. kick off, woo, i love stuff like this, at the mo where its just a one bar loop, u get the mood of the tune hammered into you and its really powerful hearing it loop like that, because the mood doesnt vary in that part, which is awsome. then when it starts building up to the break the mood gets more intense, and then just as you think its guna break down, it doesnt lol. which is also quite cool, i like unpredictability. i also think it works well how the bassline is static all the way thru, so again, its just constantly hammering the same mood into you, which is very powerful. i love monotone stuf like this, people dont realise how powerful it can be.
Overall, sounds in both are awsome, everything fits together like a gorgeous jigsaw, no real critisism at all, i think technically they are both near enough perfect, so the rest is down to opinion
Mike
