If it were my thread I'd believe the topic of vynil's future is important. you don't wanna sell the future and buy the past (of course mine and other's point was this is not the case)

So, out of that conclusion I'd say, if money is an issue take it slowly and try to buy only 1 deck, maybe sell 1 cdj if necessary. You can mix w/ a deck and a cdj. But don't give up cds. If you can, buy 2 decks and keep at least 1 cdj. Technology gives more and better options (cds) but whats good is good (vynil).
Take the best of both worlds and have fun!

Yeah to be honest, i dont think youll get very much money for used cdj-100s, so youd probably just be best to hold on to them, and slowly save up for tts.

As I said I can buy one deck if I sell 2 cdjs. I would like to buy second deck in the future. I know the best solution would be 2 decks with 2 cdjs, but I dont have money to buy new decks and keep cdjs Thats the reason

I can honestly say from things I've seen and things I know....Vinyl is still gonna be around for ALONG time, CDJs will be used more and more, and new technology will make its way onto the scene, but most people will use Decks, and most of the newest releases will be on Vinyl.

But it really won't last forever, the future holds many surprizes.

If you want to call yourself a DJ, then you better know how to spin on vynil. You may use CD's in addition to vynil but not instead of vynil.

yea, how can you say that vinyl will die completely. turntablism is basically here to stay and i honestly do not know 1 all-hip hop dj spin with cd's. there are those imitators who do those stupid mobile djing stuff but of all my friends and people i know in the hip hop community loves vinyl. anyways, back to trance, everything does seem to be moving toward digital though. i personally would prefer to use only vinyl w/ cd's incorporated. i like vinyl a lot cuz u can see where you are in the track. i think i just like seeing the grooves... lol...

you fools. Just because there are cdjs and dvd players, doesnt mean turntables are gonna dissappear. They will always be at the clubs/lounge or where ever you play simply due to the fact that not everyone has the luxury to explore the digital realms of djing. . . . even the great djs.

I went to crobar recently to check out Deep Dish and near the end I see Sharam fuckin around on the Pioneer DVD table and damn, I thought he was gonna run outta record at the end of this track when all of a sudden i hear this locomotive rumble come from the back of the club and rushed to the dj booth. Thats right peeps. . . .SURROUND SOUND effects. Within the next 5 years, clubbing is gonna be like dancing in a movie theatre. It took him over 5 minutes to mix in a sound effect that lasted 2-3 seconds, but it was still damn mind blowing.

So stick to the tables, and add to it with whatever whenever u get the money. CDJs are a convenient alternative, but who wants conveniency when you want good sound quality?

i dont think vinyl will be replaced by CD's anytime soon. they will just be used side by side like they are now. most clubs nowadays carry both CD tables and regular turntables. there are always new technology comeing out almost every 8 yrs or so..this leaves no room for people to make that adjustment to useing just CD's.... now, if your talking the use of digital music in general, thats a different story.. esp. since they are comeing out with programs such as final scratch and sareto which fuses digital music with vinyl... and it seems to be pretty popular with the big name djs in such a short time they have been available.

maybe wait for a bit and hold onto your CDJs and see where things go in the next year or so (?) and maybe by then you could save some money for a pair of mk2s... who knows
