I'm 18 and had a wreck a while back that was my fault. I'm guessing insurance companies don't like 18 year old high risk drivers to have a car with 300 hp.

well i agree. i'm just saying that upgrading the model like that shouldn't make that huge a difference...maybe 200-300 bucks every six months at most, but not an extra 1000!

Prices haven't been released yet. The dealer made me put 500 down and I'm putting it in my dad's name because his company has Ford's X-Plan which lets us pay 2% over dealer invoice. It'll probably come out to about 21 or 22k. And btw, the V6 Mustang is far from a sports car. The GT, however, is.

Oh, and if I want to drive a fast car I'll just take my dad's heavily modified '86 Trans Am for a spin. And no, we aren't rednecks. It's actually nice and maintained.

I needed a larger car. I definitely don't want a two-seater. I know because one of my options was a 2003 MR-2 with just 5000 miles on it. I still picked the Mustang because it has more space.

i know how they rate differently...i'm just saying that the extra surcharge you would get because its a GT shouldn't be 1000 every six months...
