Tiesto's production value has definitely started to decline. Even so, he has produced some of the best tracks in the past, and his remixes have also been excellent in the past. Delirium - Innocente, Urban Train, Lethal Industry, Conjure One - Tears from the Moon...
And his collaborations with Armin and Ferry are some of the most classic tracks out there. Major League - Wonder, Gouryella - Gouryella and Ligaya, Alibi - Eternity, Vimana - We Came...
In my mind it is his djing ability that sucks. Not to say he doesn't have the best records or that is programming is anything other than excellent, but, as far as his technicality goes, he sucks ass! I get so disappointed seeing "headliner" dj's miss beats all night and come in all abrupt on bass like Tiesto does. For the money he is getting he should mix a whole hell of a lot better.
In my mind Ferry and Armin are a lot better at mixing records. As far as production, they are all good, but sometimes Ferry can be a little too synthed out. I was glad to hear him change his style to a darker less high pitch sound, even though I love a lot of the classic tracks he has been involved in. It was definitely time for a change, and I respect him for making it.

ferry's mix is ok, but it can't be compared with the emotion delivered by tiesto's.
al azar mediocre remix shouldn't even be mentioned, what a disgrace for music.
what i like about tiesto's remix is that, as usually, he left the vocals intact but added so much emotion to the tune just as he did with southern sun or faithfulness.

you know shit if you think lethal industry is one of his best tracks. and tiesto had nothing to do with ligaya so get your facts straight. tiesto may not be technically excellent but he has something much more important, he sure knows how to select his tunes and drive a crowd; and that's why he's # 1, and will be # 1 for a long time

He's #1 because of blind clueless fans like you.
Quick, the flock's moving that way!
