Lol, yea, I remember when Top Gun came out in the mid 80's, it was rated R. Now that sucker would probably be rated PG :P

robocop was rated 21 when it first came out in SA, 2 years ago, it came on tv and was PG, lol

But have any of you seen the Criterion director's cut dvd version of Robocop? That's pretty brutal... the part where they shoot the 'robocop' guy in the beginning is pretty graphic.

It was given an R rating due to the strong homosexual undertones throughout the movie. They didn't want to expose the children of the 80s to that kinda stuff by giving it a PG rating.
