if you want actual accurate bass and not bloated garbage, i recommend you look into these companies and avoid the mass marketed crap:

http://www.svsubwoofers.com

these guys are well known in the audio world for making subs that completely outperform subs costing three times as much. i've got a hsu research vtf-2 myself and it completely rocks...
