i wouldn't agree with the quote "people who like trance don't like rap"... i don't think anyone likes it when p diddy raps!

he should stick to business & producing.. stay away from rapping!

From my experience, people who like EDM and who do like rap, they like INTELLIGENT rap...not the gangsta, pimpin' b.s. that so many American artists put out. There's only so many ways you can fit guns, bitches, and money into songs, lol. While trance is no more deep or meaningful than that crap, at least it's not violent or mysoginistic in nature...anyway, I'm getting off topic. Most mainsteam rap is garbage and the hip hop scene in general is in desperate need of fresh blood!

I thought that the U.K. has a decent hip hop and rap scene? Roots Manuva OWNZ!!!

I agree, although the hip hop scene isn't all bad states side either. Mos Def, Kweli, Common Sense, Blackilicious, De la Soul are all concious rappers who have been accepted by mainstream audiences as well as loved and respected by the underground community. Like EDM, and in that regard most popular music, there will always be a disproportionate ratio between quality stuff, verses garbage put out by people trying to make a fast buck. There is still some great Hip Hop being made out there.

Actually, three of my friends were at Space for this party. They said it was pretty fucking sick, and Diddy did his two tracks on the new Morillo CD, and everyone was rockin.

I would imagine PD overstayed his welcome on the stage though...keep that rhymin shit to a minimum with EDM.

BTW, timmyboy and BigTongue...house is not trance, but what am I saying? You probably consider all of EDM as "techno" anyways.

PD is quite the artist, and EVERY FUCKING ONE of you rocked your face off to Let's Get Ill at least once, but go ahead, hate all you want now.

Not to take any credit from Deep Dish, but PD's vocals made that track what it is.

I got nothing against R N B and nothing against PD either... he is a smart business man.... and some of his (old) stuff is not bad. But as many have said before, the quality in rap music is going down. Its all about the cars and guns or how much money they have and what they spend it on, who they shot, etc etc. EDM doesnt have an agenda, well, it kinda does, and that is to have a good time.

and a bit off the topic, how many raves have you been to where people got shot or stabbed. Is it possible that rap music is responsible?...
I sound like a politician

Nice work, totally agree with you. P Diddy is a fucking legend. The comment about edm people not listening to "rap" is ridiculous. LMAO Fucking kids on this board, seriously.

people speak for yourselves. I listen to rap, not new rap, but yes i do listen to rap. That was the first type of music i was really serious about, and started to collect. I have every first album put out by a Wu-Tang member, oldschool!!!

PD is a legend. Fine he may not actually produce every beat from scratch, but he does a fantastic job doing what he does. The guy is a fashion icon, and a smart business man.

he believed he could get up and party, because he did last year. Common guys even Sasha played 'lets get ill', and im sure DIddy did more than just the vocals.
