The game really is that good and that scary/surprising. Demons just pop out of nowhere with horrible satanic shrieks, dark rooms have echoing laughter and babies crying, water dripping, etc. Really flips me out.
You can tell that's faked though because level I is the intro. You don't get a weapon until level II and the first demon is seen halfway through level II. Notice their squealing in level I...what were they screaming about, the super realistic pepsi machine in the lobby? Come on...
