I use the Sensor Excel by Gillette. Normally, the Excel only is a two-blade system, but I use the CVS/Rite Aid brand three-blade refills. As for shaving cream, I use the Nivea sensitive skin shaving gel and my aftershave is the Nivea sensitive skin balm respectively. Actually, I use my aftershave as a facial moisturizor for my entire face. The Nivea stuff works well for dry skin and redness.
When I started shaving, I used an electric razor. Once my facial hair started coming in more heavily, the electric razor started to really hurt my face so I can't recommend them unless your facial hair is not thick. About a year ago, I made the switch to a "real" razor and have never looked back. Blade razors seem to give me a more accurate and close shave and works so much better to cut out facial hair such as sideburns, like I have. I haven't had nearly as much irritation since I switched.
I suggest shaving with nice, steamy water and plenty of cream if you have irritation. Also, don't shave against the grain and never shave an area more than twice. These seem to work very well for me, although my acne makes things a bit more difficult.
