DJ_RoKo,

I would suggest trying to find a small record label that might take you on for the tracks. Small records labels are always in for some talent; they have to to sell records.

You also have 3 more years to practice to play at the big clubs - make good use of it!

I would suggest standing on top of large buildings, in heavily populated areas, and shouting "i am a good dj and stuff!"

I have been having trouble finding anything in Dallas and the reason being is the places I want to play at are more house music oriented. I see my style changing anyways and leaning more towards a heavier trance and house (stuff that really can move the floor, even with people who hate EDM). So, I think I will adapt my style, buy up ew vinyl and get to work on some new promos.

Pass out your Mixes man. I started at the age of 11(i only had a gemini turntable and a shity radioshack mixer) with like 15 hip hop records. But I was too young. I wanted to go out with my friends talk to girls etc(i still do it im just more serious). So i techniclly started around your age also. I was 15 when I got my very first CD deck(Numark CD mix 2). At the age of 16(im 16 now) i BOUGHT my very first speaker and a shitty Numark TT turntable. I started my first job just this summer in REal estate and im getting money up the ass. If i can keep my summer job for the entire year im definetly buying technics and pioneer cd decks. For now I just consider my self a music collector. But im not that bad at mixing. But like everyone said CARRY CDS around you). I have given out over 25 in the past year. I give them to my step fathers cousin becuae he DJs everywhere and he owns a DJ shop. So anyone that comes in interested in Trance/house/breaks/psy etc he gives them my mixes. I also give my cds to new people i meet. The best thing i did was give my cds to 3 japanese girls and 1 japanese guy that came to America for 3 weeks. They emailed me and said they fell in love with the music. I also converted over 11 people into Trance. Just GET YOUR DAMN CDS out there. You dont need all expensive equipment to get your name out.

Love your music share it with others
