Not true. The ST-100 is almost completely made up of metal... Plasticity? The buttons are plastic yes, but the rest is completely made out of metal.
Poor pitch fader? Hmm, I'm pretty happy about it. If you ask me, it's pretty precise.
On every deck, the tonearm CAN get loose. I've never had to correct the tonearm of my ST-100. Besides, even IF it comes loose, the correction is pretty simple. Turn a few screwes and you're done.
I'd recommend the ST-100. Allthough, if you can get an SL1200(2nd hand) for the same price or less, I'd say: grab the SL1200.
