sounds nice so far, just at the build up at the mo. i think this has a very good drive, and to compliment the drive of the kick and bass, some extra percs thru out the whole buildup could really work, just some quiet but really rolling hats for example. but they do pick up again later in the build up so ill shut up about that :P i dont like that breakbeat.... the clap is far too quiet at that part. i think if your going to use a breakbeat it would much better with a different kick sound and a different clap/snare to the rest of the piece. At the break now, sounds very nice, maybe it drags on a bit at first, but once the synth comes in its easier to follow. just a very long break to try and follow, but like i said as it kicks off its really nice The good thing about using really long melody loops is that they rarely sound repetative, and so they dojnt get boring, but also, the mood can be varried alot, and thats been pulled off very well here i think. As the melody progresses, it portrays different feelings, like excitement, happiness, posibly danger! its cool how it does that. really nice tune anyway very well made. keep up all the good work, sounds mint.

Mike

The build-up of the intro section is really nice. Very original that you used a breakbeat in the breakdown after the intro. It's a really nice song

Nice, I've heard this track before, is the original also produced by your group?

Listening. Solid kick/bass combination, reminds me of Octagen's sounds. Some techy sounds playing in the back slightly, which is a plus. A minor suggestion - I hear various percussion elements as well as most of the synths in the background (including the main lead fading in) all processed with reverb, this makes the sound a bit muddy and takes away from the track's crisp. Ok strings coming in now, heavy with reverb BUT lack stereo width. The strings are loud enough, have lots of reverb, but the original source of the sound does not pan very effectively, so no matter how big you make it sound it'll still have a flatness to it =/ Another personal preference comment here, the strings are very orchestral, classic strings, which I think is getting outdated in trance. A much more effective choice, in my opinion, is the use of nifty synthesized pads which are more spacy and proggy. Okay anyway moving on to the lead, it's got the same issues in terms of not being wide in the stereo field. It's loud, very audible, but doesn't play mind tricks with your ears through intricate panning and left/right channel delaying. The melody is nice and memorable, a plus. Solid work overall, and I know I was a bit picky - but you guys are good enough producers so that I don't have to point out huge faults, and can just focus on the smaller elements that make a track truly stand out. Take care.

Stan.

sounds pretty nice - quite -=to the formula=-

could do with some work in the perc department - some phased shakers wouldn't go a miss

and I would love to hear a really searing lead come in over the top of the chords

nice

op

That would be quite scary... I mean if one would indeed create a perfect track then would there be any point in producing anymore?
