When I first heard about it, the rebels fighting the russian gov't or the broken down russian equipment had to be the cause. I think it is broken down equipment personally because most of the planes they use are from the mid 60's, sorta like Canada and the Sea Kings

My thoughts would be that the chechens would be responsible......lol at how every act of terror is al quaida.......maybe the fact that the russian military still murders chechens while the rest of the world pleads ignorance is a good motive to strike the russians?
I wouldnt be surprised if like mentioned earlier it was the failure due to poorly maintained aircraft.......russian public transport whether its airbus, or maritime has a poor history of this and their pride has also shown in the past their own tendencies to cover up disasters that shouldnt happen.

If you know anything about chechnya then you would know young men of fighting age are systematically imprisoned or murdered.......leaving many pissed off women.

Get your research straight before posting moronic comments like that.

Hmm, it seems those chechens are really at it now. They also blew up a car in Moscow and captured some 250 children as hostages in southern Russia on the first day of school. They're also threatening to kill those children if they don't get what they demand (Russia getting out of Chechnya, release of all their imprisoned fighters, etc., etc.). Really a tough one for Putin.
