i don't think i have it, although i do get ringing sometimes, definitely an intermittent problem.
although i am surprised i have actually got any ears left after seeing phil kieran @ urban gorilla last week. he played a wicked set but it was just TOO FUCKING LOUD. my ears nearly bled....

I don't have it, but with my new system in my car... I dunno how long my perfect hearing will last. Do shorter (10-15 minute) bursts of sound hurt the ears much ?

6 years of clubbing, constant assault on my drums from my discman, and mixing for 3 years has left me... completely unaffected
i only get minor ringing directly after leaving a club, like everyone does, when i wake up, its gone

I've had a very minor bit of it for anywhere from 5-8 years...but I really only hear it when I'm in bed, or when it's silent in the room and I've just finished recording a mix.

I think I have it, I can notice a kinda ringing sound when its silent, but thats not bad since I've been DJ for like 9 or so years, and been going to clubs for just as long, and also DJed all the time in my room, with massive floorstanding speakers like 2 feet from my ears.
I think I got lucky, so I'm looking into getting my ears checked out, and possibly buying some custom earplugs.

even if you don't think you have any problems, there are other forms of hearing loss as well. I suffer from mild conductive hearing loss in my right ear, causing me problems hearing frequencies at 250hz and 1khz. To top that off, i think i have tinnitus as well, but i really don't wanna go b/c i hate bad news

I have it, only when it gets DEAD quiet though, but I usually don't even notice it after a while. I don't think it's a result of anything in particular. I had it before I began partying (and I've worn earplugs since day 1). I don't blast myself out that bad at home either. I used to, but even then I never in my bravest days turned my klipsch knob past 12 oclock and they're the loudest speakers I've ever had.
Come to think of it, it was probably that series of ear infections I had a few years back that did it. That's kind of around the time I began noticing it.
Anyways - take care of your ears kids. You're going to get some damage one way or another - it just comes with the job I guess, like an athlete has joint/muscle problems. I know earplugs look goofy but they really do help. Even cheap foam ones you get at a drug store will help a lot. I've always taken earplugs with me whenever I've partied, and my ears always feel fine and fresh the next day. Yeah, it kind of takes away some of the sound quality, but if its that big a deal you can always just drop $150 for some nice musicians earplugs. Like you don't spend that much on vinyl every week anyways.

i think i have a similar problem, in that one side's hearing is a little muffled compared to the other. nothing majorly affecting me though, and very strange as its my left ear (i always cue on my right ear).

hearing loud noises for 10-15 minutes is much better for your ears than enduring a three hour set at a club. 10-15 minutes of loud noise will not drastically affect your hearing, but if you club frequently without earplugs you can damage them.
