God I can't wait for the Champions League! Some fascinating games in there; Bayern, Juve and Ajax together will be tight, and Celtic, Barca and Milan will all make great games.

Which of the smaller teams do you think will do well?? Theres always a few that surprise and go far every year (Porto, Monaco, Depor, Leverkusen, Leeds, Basel etc). Ajax are 50/1 which isn't a bad each way bet

bayer has had some bad seasons lately but seem to be recovering. roma never really done well in champions league, maybe this year will be their year. i hope real gets eliminated but they're the big favs here

juve to go trough. bayern is going down and could very well be surprised by ajax, at least i hope so! maccabi is probably the weakest team of all groups but you can't expect facilities in champions league..

seems like a pretty easy group for united. the other teams should fight for second place, with lyon being a bit more of a fav.

arsenal and psv are obvious favs, but panathinaikos and rosenborg are very experient in european competitions and can always cause surprises.

the death group, barca and milan would be favs but celtic is a very respectable team, and i believe even shakhtar could do a bit of a shock here, don't underestimate ukranians

an interesting one, valencia should go through, but then you get two national champions on good leagues and a big italian team that rarely does well on the CL, i think this will be a very close race

ah, our group. despite the fact that we have signed a bunch of awesome players in the summer (seitaridis, diego, quaresma, postiga, even pepe from maritimo which is a very promising central back), the pre-season isn't going very well, one manager being sacked before the start of the championship, bad exhibitions. we have the potential but it's not working at the moment, and there's the pressure of being the reigning european champions. chelsea should win the group easily, and we should fight for the second place with psg. cska is fairly unknown to me, apart for knowing artur jorge was the manager recently, i don't believe they should be a big threat, but let's be careful when traveling to moscow.
