well take it from a Canadian dude who's been travalling to Greece a couple of years ago, what SportTrance says is absolutely true.. there is a HUGE difference in temperature, here the humidity makes a mild 25 degrees Celcius suffocating, but over there, it can be 40 degrees and it wont feel like it, you are perfectly comfortable outdoor

i agree...i live in Memphis..i use to live in Oregon(which isnt nearly as hot as a dry place as Arizona, but still really different from the south) so i'm totally not use to this at all..and all the people that i've talked to say they arent very use to it either and its 80 with 71 himdity here...so its not as bad as its been the past couple of weeks

You think 84 with 77% humidty is bad? Last July I visited my grandparents in Redding, CA. The first day we were there it was 110 with about a 60-65 dewpoint. My grandad says the day before it was just as hot and the dewpoint was 75.

Now, I'm very tolerant to the heat. But I couldn't fucking bear to be outside more than a minute or two, just standing around. It was simply ridiculous.

keke i was a little cranky when i made this post, but I think for good reason. The american announcers sometimes are just, i dunno, they're just sound dumb sometimes, desperate for any type of drama. Whats new.

I guess what really triggered it was what my friend said the other day. He knows im greek, and so we're watching a track 3000m race or whatever......and im like "that shits tough", and he's all "yeah, its really hot over there too". I ofcourse responded explaining how their idea of hot is our idea of cool etc.

but yeah, the difference is incredible.

its really why I like southern california so much, the weather and even the scenery reminds me so much of greece
