Daniel miller rox also , shame not many people know the guy he deserves more listeneres.

i never heard of that guy either btw, that christopher.

Thanks for the insult. You haven't heard everyone. I'm sure you didn't mean it. How could you know anyways. You live in Japan.

Markus has really built up his name through the Global DJ Broadcast and Internet Radio. Christopher Lawrence gained his name and reputation from playing at raves and clubs all across the country and world. How many times has Markus Schulz come to Minneapolis??? ZERO

How many times has Christopher Lawrence played here? Well I can tell your for one that I've seen him 5 times, dating back to the rave days of 1999. He is one of the best progressive/trance dj's I have ever seen. I thought he was into his set's when I've seen him, maybe not as much as Armin, but hey, not everyone has that much enthusiasm.

In conclusion I would say, maybe he's not America's biggest or greatest dj, but I would say he's the most well traveled and one of the hardest working. Don't expect any cheese trance from this guy either, he's definately on the darker/progressive side.

now i know a little more about him then, with the darker/progressive side reference, probably why i didnt like him, i think the crowd wanted euphoric/energetic stuff and he didnt supply. He's gained experience/tips with playing in Europe no doubt, hopefully he can take some tips from the main trance guys here and know what to play and how to get the crowd going, especially at a Cream event

but fair does to the guy, technically, he was spot on

ok let's get this straight

the US's biggest deejay is Danny Tenaglia and that has not changed in probably a good 5 years and I don't think it will change. He still draws the bigger crowds to his gigs. A close second is Jeff Mills then Erick Morillo in terms of hugeness. Tenaglia rarely releases CDs, he does not do radio sets, he has no radio show yet has a huge following because of his immense technical DJ skills. Christopher Lawrence is bigger than Markus Schulz, that's obvious, Lawrence has travelled and played more often around the world. Christopher Lawrence is obviously the US's biggest trance deejay. If you asked Lawrence if he was the biggest US deejay, he'd probably mention 5 others that were bigger than him and then he would probably say he does not care about how big you are, he plays the music he likes to crowds that want to see him and that's left him a rich man. His attention is on his new label that he runs.

CL

CL style is always different in my eyes as powerful and dark and pounding. You cant take nothing from him. He still plays the world and the world still enjoys him. period. Id rather pay to see him than tiesto, IMO.

It's refreshing to see this board not being almost 100% haters like it was when I first joined. I've been a fan of CLs since 1999.

well

I spent some time with CL at the hotel with his brother and friends. Such a great person and really funny. Totally laid back, was cracking jokes about certain things hes seen at events. Drank some vodka cranberries since thats his favorite drink. We shared tracks titles that we have gotten this year. CL as a superstar totally carries himself as if youve been friends with him for years. Awsome producer. Still love his Saboteur track and Genesis. Love the way it flows and burns through the speakers.

Hes a truelly great guy and a great DJ to boot.
Ive seen him 4 times down here...3 times he's blown me away and once he was ok...I think the thing with him is he seems to always be evolving and changing...every time his sound has been different to the last..so I guess sometimes he is gunna make you real happy and sometimes it might be a bit wierd or not go quite right...

When he gets it all right...there is no-one in the world who is better.
