Yeah unfortunately, Nuno's is not the right "locale" for a trance night (this is my opinion which is supported by dancing to EDM since the early '90's). It was a good effort though and Nuno himself is pretty cool to at least check it out. If anyone from Nuno's is reading this, maybe you should look into some Top 40, RnB, DnB, Hip/Hop type stuff.
As for the other things mentioned here about people not caring or not being supportive, I only have one thing to say to that. I've been in Austin for a while. Not 1 DJ has ever tried to promote themselves to me. I hook up with this bulletin board and a few of the guys san antonio almost instantly are interested in letting me hear there sets, share music, chit chat about whatnot and drink beer. To me, that's what keeps you going if you want to be a DJ. James Zabiela handed out tons of CD's to cab drivers, passengers on trains etc etc. He talked to people. Made himself personable. I'm not saying this is the ONLY means to make yourself known, but you can't blame those listeners who aren't even in the loop, especially if you have a chance to put them there.
Anyway, just my 2 cents worth.
ps. before anyone gets all worked up and emotional, this post was not geared towards anyone at all. i'm just mearly making observations based off experience and reading previous threads.
