When I think of what are the most well-known tracks, that have had the most influence, I agree with tracks such as

Rolando - Knights of the jaguar
Umek - Gatex
Plastikman - Spastik
Rhythm is rhythm - Strings of life
Richie Hawtin - Minus Orange
Devilfish - Man alive
Johannes Heil - Paranoid dancer
Speedy J - Pullover

etc. Most of them are not really old but are well-known to lots of people.

For my personal taste, I prefer the deeper stuff from the likes of Jeff Bennett, Aril Brikha, Christian Lindner, Rob Acid and so on.. But I don't think those tracks are going to end up in some top 30, other than my own.

It is widely accepted to be one of the most influential techno tracks.. It may sound a bit housey, but so do most of, if not all releases on the UR label, that's just a part of their style.

UR started releasing records when the difference between house and techno was not even significant (imo..)

And I think there is no real boundary between house and techno, both styles have got a lot in common and can be combined very well. Thinking in narrow genres is for the uncreative people anyway.
