I just got that one. It's very nice, but for me it's hard for anything to compare to Strange World.....well, maybe the club remix of R.E.S.P.E.C.T. The clip I heard of that one is through the roof!

I've been dropping Origene - Sanctuary (Lemon 8 mix), Deepsky - Talk Like a Stranger, Benz and MD - Sound54 (and for the last couple weeks "Dilation"), Oceanlab - Satelite (Markus Schulz and Above and Beyond mixes), and one on Source of Gravity that is sick, but I always forget the name.
Of the older variety, I like to bring these back: Sander K - Sacred (Dub) and My Lexicon, Tilt - I Dream, Ambassador - The Fade, and Chicane - Autumn Tactics (Thrillseekers). These I use selectively and usually I only mix one or two old school tracks in per set.

I'll go through stages breaking out some of the older tracks...
This summer, at different times, I was playing
Eon - Pocket Damage
Trance Allstars - Go! (Talla 2xlc remix)
Re Locate - Waterfall
Plastic Boy - Nighthawks
Midway - Inca
a couple of gigs in a row. All of them except for Nighthawks are real crowd pleasers, though that one does ok too (It's just one of my personal faves).
Oh, I almost forgot...
Randy Katana - In Silence (Scratch Bandicoot remix). Good God I probably played that at about four gigs in a row!

Yeah, it's really funny because "Trance Allstars" is such a cheesy name and ATB has a remix on the flip AND it's on Kontor!!! But the Talla remix is so damn good.
I've heard a lot of people say they like Kung fu better, but it's never really done anything for me. I don't know

I've got Go! and Inca. Definitely think the Talla 2XLC mix is the best of Go!, but I kind of liked the flip side of Inca, Kung Fu. Ralph Barendse's sound is getting a little monotonous for me though. I kind of wish he would innovate a little bit more. Since Massive, there hasn't been much growth to his production. |
