Heh, ok it looks like the same shenanigans are going on with the first vote, vote #79 as vote #83 that I described in my last post. Let’s look at it in depth why don’t we? Vote #79 was a vote to table amendment 246. What does that statement of purpose say? Well it says:

So why don’t we summarize this flip-flop folks. Kerry voted against an amendment that in no way whatsoever had anything to do with reducing taxes on small businesses in a resolution that similarly had nothing to do with businesses!!! How damning!
But wait, there’s also Kerry’s vote “In Favor Of Proposal To Exclude Small Businesses From The Increased Income Tax.” S. 1134, CQ Vote #171. Haha now this is great. This bill is the exact opposite of what we’ve been seeing. If we go to the specific text of the amendment we can find that one part of the amendment is a “Additional tax on nonqualified distributions” and then details the additional amounts of tax.
However, if we look at the statement of purpose for the bill, we see that the purpose of the bill is to:

Hmmm this is also a good one. Notice the date of his first statement was in 1972. Anyone care to remember what happened in 1973? That’s right, Roe v. Wade happened where the supreme court declared that abortion is a constitutional right. Therefore it ceases to become a state decision inasmuch as slavery ceased to become a state decision.

Hahaha ok so let’s see, 10 years ago Kerry made a statement saying that expensing stock options would not benefit the business world … him and about every other financial analyst. What happened since??? Well all those accounting scandals come to mind and as such, Kerry changed his opinion due to the changing environment.
