Sure, search on TA forums to find a bunch of topics probably written by people who just go along with the bias that Behringer sucks because someone said they do, and they just believe it.

You dont know. Just because your friend didnt like it doesnt mean it sucks.

Sure, the effects may not be that great, but running a trance internet radio station, I rarely ever hear the DJs use the effects on any of their mixers.

Right. Thats why all my equipment has been on for 2+ years, 24/7/365 and it still works just as good as the day I bought it. If you can save several hundred dollars for a mixer that works just fine, has just about the same features, and is durable (which I have proven by keeping all my equipment on 24/7), then I dont see how or why it's useless.

I'm not trying to start a flame war here, or be a dick, but please use the stuff before you rag on it.

It seems like you are the exception and not the rule. I hear endless stories about these things breaking down very quickly. The sound quality is also terrible on this. My buddy had his berringer for 7 months before it completely shit the bed.

If you dont have a grand to drop on a mixer get a vestax 275. sound quality is great, built like a tank, and will last you for a while.

this could be a very useful thread. I am also kinda lookin into new mixers as well. Right now I am using the Numark DM3002X. I fucking love this mixer!!! It doesn't have alot of effects to play with, but I know the friggin thing inside out! Now I'm getting alot of cracklingnoises, like dust buildup, but it's to the point where I can't even use my cross fader anymore.

So considering my Numark DM3002X, can anyone help point me in a direction that I might want to go with my next mixer? I've really only played on this mixer, anyone got any comparisons???

Well many people I have talked to about Behringer products say that they've worked just fine for them. I'm in no way saying that they're the best, but they certainly are worth every dime, and have withstood extreme conditions in my studio with all my equipment and 4 computers online 24/7 with the extreme heat and no a/c enviornment in the summber (this was when I first got my Behringer stuff. Now I have A/C in there and its still just fine. ).

As far as sound quality, the sound is only as good as the input device and it's medium (good vinyl press, good quality mp3's whatever). The mixer doesn't make something sound better. The Behringer mixers are equipped with long life faders as per their website, and the faders and sliders on my DX-1000 have no problems in a VERY dusty enviornment with a lot of dog hair in the air.

I haven't even used the DJX-700, so thats certainly not what my responses were about. I just wanted to state that how everyone rags on Behringer is not necesarialy true. Now if they screwed up the DJX-700 and I dont know about it, then thats something that I will find out in a month or so when I get mine. But my general purpose of posting here is to say, try before you buy. Dont rule a brand out because you've seen people talking about it badly, who probably havent even used any of their products themselves!

Bottom line. I'd say give it a try. I've had nothing but success, and out of 7 or 8 of the Behringer products I've had, none of them has ever had any problems...so I dont see how everything by them can be bad.

-Mark
