They've come in a variety of original codecs... but I'll be using DOS based LAME 3.96b1
i've tried listening over and over and over again to some samples which include plinky hi hats and some speech, I'm 'hard pressed' to find a difference.....possibly only a mental difference. But not entirely sure...
when you're listening to the final mp3 though, even a minute barely-percievable difference could change it from great listening, to reasonable listening
