Hey I think i have fully decided that my next mixer is going to be an X1500... i have read every review possible on the net and now iam just after some personal opinions... I have had a few plays in shops but who has used one to play a set or have a real burn on... I dont really care about the learning curve behind the sampler or anything.... never stop learning IMO . So any info would be apprecated.

Thanks Kids

how come every time someone makes a thread asking about mixers you ALWAYS try and sell people that awful Tascam? Do you have big surplus stock of the mixer that you can't sell?

the smartest answer yet.....if u are serious u have to try everything.....u don't like it....send it to ebay or return it....guitar center in th US has a 30 day full return policy....test it....don't like it? return the sucker...then on to the next

I highly doubt that a lot of the people who make these claims have ever owned one or played with one long enough to really know what they're talking about.

True that,

Truth is both are good ,

People who say the DJM has shit sound, it is good enough for Zabiela to record his Alive Cd on so its good enough for me ....

Its good enough for Zabiela cuz they are paying him. It would be good enough for me too if they were paying me. The fact is, they have shitty pre-amps in them and not the best build quality. You can get around the sound issues by turning your output gain way down, taking the master out of the mixer into a mixing deck first, then into the sound system.

I just love my DJM-600, as said before the layout is perfect and the sound quality is adequate for me...

hmmm,

Yes they do pay him but he would not endource a product that is 'shit' and he used them by choice before he was payed

You dont make a mix cd like Alive for international release on a mixer that is going to sound shit just because they are paying you

No one has said the DJM600 is the best mixer, they are a good mixer ,not shit....

Well JZ is not using the crappy pre-amps since he spins with CDJs and he does most of his effects on the 500.

The point is that the DJMs do not stand up to the latest crop of 4 channel mixers. They are better than the truly crappy mixers by stanton/gemini/numark/etc. but in this day and age there are better options.

But if you want one go for it. I know my next mixer is going to be the Nuo5.

i think you will find its good enough for zabiela because its a good mixer. the effects combined with an efx500 rock, plus it has a sampler and outstandingly nice faders.

but yeah, the new 4 channel beasts ARE just better! pioneer need to re-design the djm's with digital sound & new FX control from the technology they have made with the efx1000.

Pioneer is likely to bring out there new 4 channel mixer next year and its rumored to be a 4 channel version of the 909, so it will be kickass but cost an arm and a leg.
