Soon to get Ortofon Concorde Prox2- 320 (includes 4 styli)
But these will be a present

I already had Stereo and Headphones, MD player/recorder

What's the most basic thing a newbie bedroom DJ will need? 2 turntables and 1 mixer?

Yup that will work. Just don't get crap gear; b/c if you do, expect to spend more money on better stuff in a few months. Just buy 2 1200s, a decent mixer, and a pair of stanton 520sk (for budget) or a pair of m44-g's (for good stuff thats not too much $$$)

Another thing, records will cost more than gear. The more i think about it, i think i actually spent more on vinyl than my initial setup. I think my $1200 on vinyl was a little low estimation. I just don't wanna think about it too much b/c it hurts

That would be me. You should come check it out once I get a place up there. I'll be moving to Seattle with all my stuff in about a week.

I never knew how much my stuff was worth all together. After a few years of buying stuff here and there it all adds up
