Yep, it is the new 3000...
Two years? Read about the guy that had to 5x replace his Pioneer HDJ-1000. And pioneers are the most expensive headphones on the market I think... WTF?

Yeah, that was Freak.
If you bought some headphones, and they lasted two years, you'd wouldn't consider that to be too bad and if they sounded good you'd buy another pair, so its not a bad business move to have SOME durability in them.

Can't believe that all these headphones break so easily, its a joke.....

Lol
That'll be me then
BEYOND a joke
The final pair went back- i will not have another pair, unless they are a) free and b) do not break again. even then i doubt i would use them for playing out, as i dont trust them. Kinda like a bird you take back after shes screwed your best mate- you know shes gonna do it again, its just a case of when.
Im working on a) by sending pioneer UK a really shitty letter.

p.s- needed some replacement screws for my sennheiser hd 25s headband- phoned their spares dept direct yesterday morning- couple of screws arrived this morning first class FREE OF CHARGE. now thats service
As for the sony 7506s- they are still AWOL in transit (10 days missing) thanks to parcelfarce uk, so cant comment on them yet- as soon as they arrive, expect a mini review

So what about those Stanton's, I'm just about to buy some headphones and I'm between the Stantons 2000, the 3000 and the Techs DH1200....

Has ANYBODY tried the 2000 or the 3000 ? is the loudness between these 2 comparable ?

my advice - save a little bit more and get technics - not the newest model but the previous one. i've tried many headphones and these are the best in their pricerange hands down.

I own the 3000's... I brought them mainly as a comfort issue, I dont play out so i just wanted nice comfy cans and i like them personally... (it came down to them or the techs 1200) The first pair broke on me tho and upon going back to the store i was assured by the guy that it was one release of them that had a faulty headrest... i have since had them replaced about a year ago and there still going strong...

main reason i didnt like the techs was because they have there cord on the right side can... when you listen with your left ear you have a dangler in your face... and you dont need that shit
