Perfect example. I honestly don't even check the New Releases section anymore because it's always someone blowing their load over some mp3 they downloaded or some tune they heard on ASOT.

MD isn't as bad, but a good amount of threads are the same thing over and over. Threads die quick with no real discussion, because everything turns into a flame before it hits page 2.

I'm not going to do anything about it, so I can't really comment, but those are just my observations.

I can't agree with you more on that topic. What is the use of beating a dead horse? That is how I feel and why you rarely see my name pop up in threads anymore. Ian is right about threads being spammed. Even my home area of the midwest is spammed by posters that only talk about only upcoming events and never contribute to the better half of the forum. The same goes for other areas on TA. Ive seen people promoting across the board (ie in the COR then the MD then numerous local forums).

Its starting to feel like my email account that Ive had for 4 years.

There is a ton of crap and then occasionally there is something worthwhile. Music is music and is defined by your personal taste. It drives me insane to listen/read about people complaining about artists, genres of sound etc etc. I guess what my post is starting to do is restate what Hadi said. So I will go ahead and say that I agree with what you said 100% and I cant say it any better.

Yes, but the harsh reality is that 1 out of 100 DJ's who start promoting themselves here get anywhere. Anyone can get a spot on an obscure webradio these days, yet everyone who gets a spot thinks they're a superstar DJ already... even if the only listeners are his mum and dad.

That's basically why I rarely visit those forums these days. It's been pretty bad for quite some time now, and it's only getting worse.

More Mods: Mods also have lives too and cannot moderate the forums all day long as they have other stuff to do. I would mod as i do spend considerable time on the forums and such and i think i know the rules well enough to help out with that
I know mods cannot be too strict, but usually public examples of people do not work as well as perhaps a private message asking a user to correct something he has been doing in a polite pm without trying to prove that you (the mod) is the boss and have a powertrip or whatever

i have more ideas, just cant remember them right now, but yea, i hope some of them can be considered

I honestly agree with you totally there, i've been pushing for a radio forum for a long time to remove those posts, but maybe it is time that TA evolved further, it won't bring it back to how it was, but it will at least make it more tolerable.

Thanks so far to everyone who agrees with me also, nice to know I'm not the only one

and add to that attitude. There are a few people who've been signed after starting out here and they just don't use the place anymore unless it's for themselves to promote further, and some of them have attitudes that are awful compared to well established producers & dj's who I have a lot of contact with and are genuinely nice people
