seriously speaking though, you sure there isn't something that indirectly affecting the phones? do you keep them in the same place as your sony's? has your little brother been trying to play DJ? heh.
seriously, this thing is just uncanny. friend of mine has had his for about 8 months, no problems whatsoever. |
lol
The first pair lasted 6.5 months and was still working- but part of the joint had broken inside and was rattling.
Speaking to people in the know, and pioneer help desk people 'off the record' they are getting obscene amounts of returns for exactly the same problem.
To answer your points:
my sonys are kept in the front of my udg bag as back ups. they get the occasional knock, hell i even use the bag to bump open the fire doors on my way out sometimes. They still work.
These things do not go in my bag, they sty on their pouch and are carried in my hand. treated with total kid gloves since the first pair. Not dropped or knocked once at all.
Each pair has broken mid mix (normally when cueing)- one second they are working the next they are not.If i used them in a weird way or moved them awkwardly i could perhaps understand it a bit- but i dont.
Its so daft, i dont even use them for one ear monitoring.
Its just really bad juck and of course a design flaw which is going to piss a lot more people off soon.
p.s nice review above
4.5lbs for the technics!!!!!!!! holy jesus!!!!!!
I do agree with most of that- i would have no problem recommending these things soundwise- they are awesome, but as for longevity- there was a big question mark over it, and now its been proven to not be reliable.
