Marcia - Chanel, KD Lang is hard to sing. You know, KD Lang is one of the most powerful female singers on this earth at the moment, you know? I really like the arrangement, I appreciate what you did. But I wish you’d sort of up the ante, because all of your sisters are.
Chanel – I’m not really a belter.
Marcia - Well sometimes you could just find a belt moment in yourself, whether you’re a belter or not, you just have to find the moment, just to show everybody that you are capable of it, I suppose, ok? But I’m not saying that she’s a belter either, Kd is a crooner. Ok? But thank you.
Dicko - Well I’m not just disagreeing with you for the sake of it. I was absolutely transfixed by most of that song. So much so that I was disappointed when the band came in with the drums, because for the beginning part of that song I just thought that the way you dealt with that, you just drew me in like I know you can do, and I’m convinced you’re a white witch. That was just absolutely magical and one of the best performances I’ve seen.
Marcia (interrupting) He’s been in love with you since the day he saw you.
Dicko - I know, but I’m in love with you as a performer.
Marcia (interrupting) So he is, he is, this is just incredible because, I’ll say it now. You cast a spell over this man. OK?
Dicko - You do. You’re a witch. Burn her! Burn her!
Marcia - No, burn him, burn him.
Chanel - Next time, be careful of the cookies, Haha
Dicko - Now listen, I’ve just gotta say, that was you back to your best, absolutely fantastic.
Marcia Hines - Yeah, I mean, I’m just so glad to have you back, Chanel, really, because I love that, I really loved that. I’m under the same spell as Dicko with you, I am.
Marcia (interrupting) He’s been under the same spell since he saw you too, you see what I’m saying?
But I’ve been disappointed as well. I have been disappointed
Marcia (interrupting) But you were disappointed, I wasn’t, which is strange
Mark Holden - Yeah, it is. But I completely disagree with you. I didn’t want to see you belt it at all. I didn’t want the belter. I wanted interpretation, and beauty and simplicity – and I wanted your interpretation of that lyric and that melody, and that’s exactly what you gave me, thank you.
Marcia - So you’ve given them once again what they want, thank you.
