You do? Hmmm... too bad my music workstation (Project5) doesn't produce MIDI format files. So...you don't HAVE to make midi files to call something your own. Can't understand that statement Pea.

yeah... i'm pretty sure he was referring to 'one shot samples' (not loops) and he doesnt ever even have to mess with midi files since he uses fruity's piano roll to compose and never exports them to midi, so that's why he was unfamiliar with midi files....

anyway,

i like this one even better than corsair

i would mix your bass sounds slightly louder, but it still sounds good.

looking forward to hearing more of your productions

Blaaaah, there's no build-up at all. You need to fix your general layout so that the song broods more. I don't like music that gets to the point immediately.

I'm with alex in that you need more bass.

In general, the progression of the song in general moves too fast. Like I said eariler, it needs to brood, and not just burst on with a melodic line. As it is, it sounds like a radio edit.

And considering the variations on the melody itself, this song could go on forever with a slower evolution.

[edit]D'oh! It is a radio edit. *facepalm*[/edit]

Now I've done some mastering. Not perfect, but at least the bass is better. So if you bother to download it again, its in the first post. Replaced the old one

Heya Arctic Breeze.

Stream of Life. It's a pretty uplifting track

0:40 the clap & the HH get this song moven.

2:17 energized!! The bass drum is thick & 'bassy'; tis good

2:40 interesting guitar/bango lick.

It sounds to be a very radio friendly effort. Some of the sounds are a little on the generic side.

Great production Arctic Breeze. I dont have any critism.

Xeno.

My tip - check out this website: www.memories.no and download tunes from there. (Det er hjemmesida til en annen norsk kar som er superflink til å lage musikk.) You'll probably find a lot of inspiration from his tracks, as they are similar to yours - yet much better

Bottom line - you focus on the melody in your producing, and I like that. I'm so sick and tired of people claiming that the melody isn't important at all in a track. The melody in this one is kinda simple, but it's nice. Once again, I recommend you to have a look at that website.

I like Memories of Tomorrow... I remixed Salty Rain... but I don't think they are Arctic Breeze's style... I think he's shooting for an Anjunabeats or Armada sound but I dono.. you'd have to ask him

Hey guys

I'm not shooting for any special sound or anything. Just doing what I have done the past years. I started to use fasttracker 2 in 98, the two first years, not much happend. Just fooled around trying to learn how to create something decent. In 2000 I got together with some friends and we decided to make music in Arctic Breeze name. Due to studies and military service we decided to quit the colaboration in mid 2001, and I kept the alias. That was also where I formed my "sound". But stuck in FT2, I wasn't able to create what I wanted, so I quit making music, concentrating on my new passion. My car! About a year and a half later I got in touch with Subtle Inc (He was the one who got me in here btw, thanks!) on www.trance.nu, and did one remixed for him. (I'll post it right away!) But I still wasn't able to get the result I wanted so I got back to my car. Late 2003 I got my hands on both Reason and Fruity, ended up with Fruity and then things started to happend. Much of the stuff I have made the last year are ideas I got several years ago, but could not complete them due to the software limits in ft2.

There you go, this is my sound
