and yes as far as mixers go, the vestax pcv-275 is very good value for money. very hard wearing mixer, beautiful x-fader, kill switches, & effect send/return. all in a nice heavy duty champagne case.. the faders will last forever. i have had mine well over a year, and there is not one sign of anything going wrong on it, its all just as good as the day i bought it.

the only thing i would swap it for is a nuo5 or something like that

Actually the pitch of the axis9 is better than .1% For example, if you move the pitch slightly from 0% it would show +0.0% or -0.0% so even though it only displays in 0.1% increments it's still better than 0.1%

well if that's true, it isn't much better than 0.1.. it does strangely do the -0.0% thing though. i honestly do think the increment is 0.1% (all the specs i have read say this) but the display just gets confused at that point, the - sign will appear automatically when the fader is on that side of 0% or something

either way, if you are using this deck with turntables you will have absolutley no worries mixing. even with 2 of the cd decks, its most definitely doable, its just you can't expect to leave things in for minutes at a time without adjustments, and as a beginner, this just doesn't happen anyway

the american audio psx2 (contrary to popular belief) also has a pitch increment of 0.1%. similar price range, might be worth having a look at but IMO its all a bit complicated. i like the layout of the axis9 much better.
