Man, I'm telling you, I haven't been able to get what you said off my mind since I read it. It was just so simple and so very true. you can't waste your time in life working to help others achieve success.

To anyone whose posted on here, thanks a lot, it seems like a lot of us are in the same boat. I was thinking that there was somehting wrong with my work ethic, in that I loose it when I'm bored.

One of few comedy movies that I really ENJOY watching

I wouldn't say that I "hate" my job, but I definately feel "burned out", even though I moved to a different position/department in May.

Four things get me through the day: 1)Good co-workers (find some good ones that you TRUST, they definately make a difference) 2)TA (explains why you see me lurking around all the time during the day) 3)I know a paycheck is coming 4)Gaining experience (I'm currently in school and any experience that I can get while getting my education will definately put me ahead in the future)

Right fucking on the mark Jon.

My parents bug me nonstop about how should be "doing what I love." After 4 years in university and 2 paid projects, it was obvious to me that what I thought I would love was actually about as fun as a gorilla eating my left nut.

And then I looked at where I am now, thought to myself hey, it's not my dream job, but I don't even really have a dream job anymore. Dreams have a way of losing their lustre when they become reality. So even though Monday-Friday 9-5 is not the most exciting part of my week, my work is important, I'm good at my job, I have my own office, I get treated like a human being, the pay is decent, so what else do I really need to ask for right now? The time for fun is AFTER work, not during!

Don't do what you love, love what you do.
