I got an iPod about two years ago, and about a year before that got a Creative Nomad (one of the original ones).

Pro: One of the best MP3 players - let's not f00k around here, it's one of the best. The user interface design is wonderful. They've made it amazingly easy to navigate to whatever track you want to listen to, even if you've got thousands on your iPod. Don't discount the user interface; for a portable device it's vitally important.

Con: $$$$$. It's Apple. You'll be paying outta yer butt

Pros, looks typically apple, lets rich people pretend that money can fix all problems.

Cons, my sisters is dying less than 1 year after purchase from Shanghai China. My iriver came from China AND it included ALL the necessary extras|

Yeah, I know.. It so cool to own an Ipod, cause its sleek looking, and small and cute and I got the money to buy one. And Creative's Zens series is not cool. HELL NO!!!

Creative got it all, I'm telling you (for a much cheaper price too) and more storage compared with apple. Have you even looked at Zen Touch? Personally I want to destroy my Nx, cause I think the Touch is a pure beauty, but thats only me

To that dude playing some .cue files or something: What do you mean? Like rip a live set to divided tracks or something? Get "MusiCutter" at least it'll do if you want to cut normal albums...

Pro's: holds lots of music at once, not like a CD or MD where you need to change discs, looks nice, will get you attention (at least here, if someone has an Ipod everyone crowds round when they pull it out)

Con's: costs lots of money, not that good for livesets, no line-in as far as I know (might not matter to you though), if you're using 128k the sound quality won't be that good. Then again that might not matter to you either, if you're not like me and fussy about quality.

Just split the liveset into smaller mp3 files (each file being one song)...
