yea I cant get into hardcore at all.

however, one time we were playing drinking games in the dorms and we were all f#cked up so one of my mates puts in some hardcore shit on my stero and because we were so wasted we all started to try to kick our dorky roomates wall down those were fun times so hardcore has its place sometimes

Techno can't be suited into EDM? C'mon people, get real.
Looping is where techno comes into place where people can experiment most of the elements in Electronica Dance Musik. Darkcore, Minimal, Abstract, Industrail, Tribal, Tech-House, Detroit-T and Acid all comes (almost) under Techno. So i see no reason why techno isn't consider EDM...

I understand hardstyle and Hardcore/Gabber though because very few appriciate these kind of sick music (even though i like it sometimes)

Big Beat was the gateway to electronic music for many tranceaddicts back in the 90s. You'll find that many people still appreciate groups like prodigy, chemical bros and crystal method..

Not forgetting fatboyslim..

Anyways I just cant stand eurodance/cheese...hardcore stuff of course.

this topic subject "Genre's of EDM you just can't get into" don't fit to all answers here.. it should be called "Genre's of EDM you don't like", otherwise this topic makes no sense; listen to what you want and ignore other genres, nobody force you to listen to them!

genres which I avoid:

ambient, breakbeats, progressive house, hardcore, jungle (listend to it by ishkur's edm guide..)
