If you want to lose weight, drink water. If you want good taste, drink the original. If you're an indecisive moron who wants the best of both worlds and is going to end up with neither, then C2 is for you.

Pepsi has money to throw away on stupid ideas, and stupid commercials with britney... seeing as they make waaay more money than coke does.

Depends - what concentration of aspartame were they feeding the mice?

There seems to be A LOT of rampant misinformation and false scares on the internet, so a quick search/reseach turned up these (for me) reputable links:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/health/ask_doctor/aspartame.shtml
http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/food-aliment...spartame01.html
http://kidshealth.org/parent/nutrit.../aspartame.html
http://www.acsh.org/healthissues/ne...ssue_detail.asp
http://www.snopes.com/toxins/aspartame.asp

The consensus: it's safe - unless you have Phenylketonuria (PKU). Which is why anything with aspartame in it has that ominous red warning: "May contain phenylalanine". The warning's really for those people, not the general population really (same as those "warning: may contain peanuts" on other packages).

Here's a quote from the first link:
quote:
Some years ago European authorities set the Acceptable Daily Intake or ADI at 2800 mg a day for an adult. To take in this amount - which is the amount you could safely eat every day for the rest of your life - you would have to swallow 125 sweetener tablets or at least 14 cans of diet drinks.

So you'd have to exceed 14 cans A DAY to beat the acceptable daily intake, according to Europe's standards.

Well-put!

I drink lots and lots of Green Tea and water. I also drink orange juice and skim milk each day. I really don't drink soda at all, so I just can't compare the two- they all taste like fizzy, dark liquid to me; survival instinct tells me that, since my prehistoric ancestors probably wouldn't have drank something out of a stream that looks like Coca-Cola, I probably shouldn't either

Don't drink soda anymore - it's very bad for you. Instead, drink lots of whiskey!

If I pound these down at a rate of 3-4 an hour, what's the carb intake?? If it's too much, then I'll just pump more iron...
