Let's see...the two most recent movies i've seen are Contact and A Night At The Roxbury. Which fit both the deep and comedy aspects of your query, but people either love or hate. In the case of these, mostly hate.

Suspense movie?

Well you can't go wrong with Hitchcock:
Vertigo, Rear window or North by Northwest.

also Cape Fear is suspensful. Fail Safe or Dr. Strangelove are good candidates as well. (Strangelove being more comedic than suspensful, but it has its moments)

Those are all pretty old movies, but if you're looking for suspense, then try the classics first

I bought Army of Darkness on DVD today - guess I have my pathetic Friday all planned-out!
