Out of curiousity, how would you prove a Promo CD-r is legit?
If the artist gave you the equivalent of a white label vinyl, so a CD with no markings, then these people confiscated it believing it to be a copy, how would you prove its not?
And here's another question, apart from your word how would they know if you are playing your own material on a CD-r? If you have your own new track on a CD-r, how would they know it isn't someone elses?

Sorry if these are stoopid questions, I don't know much about these areas.........

"mate was playing liquid in wales, some number cruncher came in asking to see all cd'rs, been asked to prove he has bought all the tunes on the cd'rs within the next 14 days.

I buy a lot of my mp3s from websites, but lately iv been taking my vinyl i receive on promo from www.feedbackmagazine.com and rip them to cdr/mp3 style formats.. because I prefer to take my music in Final Scratch when traveling. Im not sure how they would target someone like myself, because I could have 0 proof, unless they came to my house and checked my online order comfirmations and checked all my vinyl stock lol
