I've been using a cmx3000 at home for the last two years and am very happy with it. 0.05% @6% range (also has 10% and 100%) three hot cueues per side, nice big jog wheels, wave display, decent scratch feature.

I think I'm gonna get the DN-D6000 cuz of the .02 increments, but if it was .05 in -/+ 10% mode that would be amazing

Thanks for the suggestions, but I'm really looking for cheaper duals than what is being suggested. The 2600f (used) is still up around $400+. The CMX3000 is WAY out of my price range, even used. Same with the Denon 4000. Are the more budget minded duals okay to buy ? Are they worth getting, or do I really need to spend some cash to enjoy them ?

Anyone have any experiance with the Numark CDN-30 ? That's the price range I'm in, hopefully that budget can still get me some decent kit.

ask yourself what features you really need. how many loops/hot cues, effects etc are worth the money? the only really important thing more expensive units offer is pitch resolution

That's what I am wondering the most... I mean, with regular TT's, you need DD tables, as long as they are DD, they aren't that bad. But, what's the standard for dual CD decks ? It seems (at least to me), like the cheaper ones would be just as good as the more expensive ones, sans the better pitch res of the REALLY expensive ones.

i own a set of really old school numark cdn-34s, they work, they do the trick but i would really like a set of 2600s or 4000s. the denons have higher quality buttons and the looping on them is alot easier to use. 4000s arent really that expensive, i think that you can get a set for around $500 or so. cheaper units might work for you but i think that it might be worth it to shell out a few more bucks and get a set of denons if you can.

well I use the scratch feature almost never, loop i'm working on but could live without, hot cues when I feel like messing about. The most important feature is it plays cd's. for all you can do, most people just want to be able to mix in cd's. anything that won't break down, and has acceptable pitch resolution for what you want to mix will do.

what does everyone think of the American audio dcd-400 its looks pretty solid and for 300 bucks is pretty cheap considering its functions. I can't seem to find a pitch increment anywhere but i'm assuming its .10 does anyone know?

have u had a look at the tascam cd 302's ?

i have one and it works fine, no problems yet I got mine for 500 US dollars here in japan about a year ago. I'm sure they should be quite cheap now cos a new model has come out and they've never been particularly popular. I knew they had major problems in the earlier versions but make sure u get one of the last ones with software version update 4.0 or higher and it should be fine.

The thing i like most about the tascams is that that the remote controls can be split into too, so u can set them up on either side of your mixer like two single table top players

I bought this because of the price ($300 USD) and the good reviews on various websites. They work great. I figured it out in a matter of 10 minutes and its not hard at all to make flawless mixes. If you're not into all the features other decks have, then this is the best bet for the price. Don't go with American Audio anything, they suck.
