My macro-econ prof always talked about things in relation to his "It all boils down to: 'do you want fish for 5 dollars, or steak for 20 dollars?' " theorem.

I stopped going to lectures and took the test by thinking "fish OR steak?" on any question....got a B+ on both exams, so it must have worked.
