after the weak ass performance they put on at icon last time they were here, i think ill sit this one out and save my $$$ and energy for Sander and Deep Dish. have fun all. maybe they will spin some records this time.

first off, i am not a big breaks fan. but when i go to a show i expect the dj or djs to spend more time in the booth than out of it. one of them would come on, play with a cdj for a minute and then leave for 10-15 minutes. Hybrid probably only spent 20 minutes together in the booth the whole night, and half of the night, there was no one in the booth at all.

i was truly disapointed.

Yeah that's definitely fucked up, I wasn't there for the night, I was in NYC @ the time.

But it's free cover and my cousins birthday is Saturday, we'll probably go out and check the show.

im not saying dont go and its gonna suck. the music was great last time, but it seemed to me like they were just playing pre-mixed CDs. i hope this show is better, but i wont be there.

Yea I can feel you on that.
A DJ is more than just someone who plays songs. He's a manipulator of music, and has that presence of just being there.

That notion is pretty much rubbish,i have seen them over 23 times at least and they have never used the pre mixed discs.I was not there that night ,but alot of my good friends were and told me aboud how the other member mike truman did not arrive there till close til 2 a.m. due to a flight s.n.a.f.u and then chris healings couldn't rememeber what tracks he had played.But besides all that nonsense,it is a cd release party,you can expect the best.......

Vero I dont know which club you were at, but it was evident that Mike & Chris were playing live, like the time the record started skipping. Ofcourse both DJ's werent on the stage at the same time because it wasnt a tag-team. They take turns, one hour off.

You admitted that the music was great...why would you not go again tonight? Were you looking for them to mess up? That makes NO sense. They HAVE been doing this for 10+ years.

Another point made was that at times there was no one behind the decks...thats called "looking in your record box for the next great track".

Seriously, I dont know what show you were at...but how about this. Come to tonight's show...come find me and I will buy you a drink and we can watch....and listen...to Hybrid DJ. When they switch out, I will introduce you. You can tell them what you think of the show...and be honest...
