Denon s3000: wat can i say, a sexy as unit.. spinning platter is cool, haven't really got to play around with the features but .. quite confusing lol, need to get some spare time

CDJ100: OK unit bloody basic but, luvin' the effects tho lol .. first time i've used efx before

Only bad thing about the denons is the pitch bend buttons seem like they'll fuckup easily :|

i suggest sitting down and reading the manual while next to the cd deck, its the easiest/quickest way

I wouldnt worry about it, the unit is pretty solid, ive never seen or heard of a problem with the bend buttons. Oh yeah, dont forget that you can turn the spinning platter off and use it to pitch bend like you would on a pioneer cdj. Some people like to do that, but i personally see no point...pitch bend buttons are awesome...

cool, i think ill turn the platter off .. i find it hard to speed the track up (ive been twisting the spindle) and slow it down (touchin the side of the platter) .. pitch bend seems way more accurate, its a shame the pioneers dont have any

I have two 3000s and my buddy has two 800s. He used to bitch about my Denons but not anymore. What's funny, considering he's used to his 800s, when he's using my 3000s, the platter has to spin or he'll fuckup !!

It's all a matter of learning and getting used to. Frankly, I like the look and feel of the 3000 better. Plus, it came out a year or two after the 800s so technologically, it's more advanced than the 800s.

my 2 cents

They can both scratch, but the Denon has pitch bend buttons (as well as the jog wheel) which I would prefer..

Its good to know you want others thaughts on what equipment to get but i think it is always best to go to a store and see if you can give em a little test run, you should always see what suits YOU best.
