Well you probably read some comments of mine where I wasn't being serious. I don't have a problem with it at all. If people want to post their personal baggage - of all places - in the "chill out" room, that's fine with me. But if they also expect everyone to approach their problem with sensitive, somber counsel then they quite simply have unrealistic expectations.

You're right, I can choose not to read the thread. But I can also choose to read the thread and then do what the description of the chill out room suggests and "talk about what's on your mind." If someone doesn't like what I have to say, then they're more than welcome to ignore it. No one is forcing them to read it or reply to it.

I'm glad you've found helpful advice here before. I try to give useful advice to people from time to time if I feel like it, although I personally have no inclination to seek advice here.

Well whether a thread is stupid or not is really just a matter of opinion, and I have all the authority I need to decide whether or not my opinion is that the thread is stupid. And being as the COR is a place for people to "talk about what's on your mind," sometimes I'm inclined to share that opinion with other members of the forum, much the same way that the original poster was inclined to share his personal story with the rest of the forum.
