so many valid points everyone is making - they are all good

i just like to think in the now. since 9/11 we haven't suffered any attacks on our soil which I think should be something that everyone is looking at. Whether seeing through the words during debate or what each campaign is striving for should even matter. the fact is that we can/will not tolerate any attacks on our soil. At the expense of our citizens by paying more tax dollars or sacrificing rights to abortion or opinions. We shouldn't nitpick the ideology that each side is representing and focus on the fact of living. Yes alot of people are talking about certain points that they object to, but how can anyone object to anything if they aren't living.

I'm pro-human life thats all...whether we suffer in poverty or succeed with happiness, the fact is we are alive. Remember there are people out there who have attacked our right to live, if we can't defend that and move to elect a leader focusing on quality of living then whats the point? Bush is preserving life by preventing attacks from happening. Kerry is focusing on quality of life, how can we attribute to quality of life if someone is out to take our lives from us.

our presidents aren't elected by the people but by a system of electors. every state has X amount of electors so if a candidate wins the popular vote in a particular state he/she gets all the electors -- it doesn't matter if a candidate wins by 1 vote or a million they get all the electors. first candidate to get 270 electoral votes wins.

Hes also not preserving life by sending innocent kids who signed up for the army so "the government pays for your school", but in reality all the people who have died in vain in a pointless war will never get the school funding they deserve cause they are dead.
This is a difficult election. But we need a good president, not a bad alternative to a bad president.

Agreed as I stated in my first post its totally understandable as I have friends there now and I'm sure many people do. Again I'm not pro-war nor am I against it. And as hypocritcal as it sounds if the draft was re-instated i'd be the first to move to Canada (even though it has been said that Canada will also be elected into the draft) the fact of the matter is would you want the war here on our soil or there on their soil? For me personally, confining them on their soil makes our environment much less rough.

Think about it...
if we were the smaller power
how would you feel running through the city with people in turban's shooting AKs at you. Flipped over car's buildings on fire with helicopters flying over shooting missles and machine guns? Personally, I wouldn't take that shit as I would be armed myself but the fact of the matter is, the war could be HERE but its not, its over there on their soil.
