no fucking way. No fucking way there would be autopilot for cars in the city. Too many variables and variations and too many things can go wrong for it even be considered as a safe way of transport. Remember, computers are machines and designed by software programmed by humans. The risk of crashes of autopilots cars in the city is extremely high. Autopilot planes are different because the traffic in the sky is low and you dont slow and stop and accerlate so many times in the sky, at least not stop.
Again, flying cars, unlikely that it would take over take the necessity for ground transportation. Flying vehicles is a possibility for the future and seems probable, but i think flying vehicles on a scale of mass transportation from one end of the city to another is more likely than individual cars flying around, due to cost of maintaining, traffic, etc. |
It is not so inconcievable for cars will be on autopilot, I read about this thing where engineers are busy developing a system where the road itself will guide cars automatically to destinations the passanger has chosen, the road will know where every car is and there will be no more traffic jams and shit...
And like I said before, there are alot of clever people out there that don't want to be controlled and I'm sure that alot of them will find away around autopilot and drive manually, and since there won't be any traffic police since everything is automated, driving manually is the way to go
