Here,I wrote a play for us to enjoy. Perhaps your friend or that Luke character would like it as well:

Act 1 Scene 1

Enter mommy making dinner in the kitchen

Mommy:[chopping vegetables on the cutting board] Let's see I think I'll make spaghetti today .... [slips and cuts her finger] oww that hurt! [gets bandage and wraps around finger]

Enter 5 year old kid

Kid: [Screaming] Mommy mommy! I fell and cut my knee! It huuuurrrttsss!!!

Mommy: Oh I'm sorry honey!!! Here let me see! [examines cut] Oh my God honey how did you do this to yourself? [wraps bandage around wound to stem the flow of blood]

Meh, while the rest of the play is most certainly Tony material, I'll just summarize the rest: Mommy and kiddo die, the kid before the mom. John eventually finds love after infecting only 3 more women. Luke goes on to form a network of STD friends, and fulfills his lifelong goal of being criminally indifferent. And your friend ... well I guess she either stomachs this kind of behaviour or tells Luke he's a fuckin idiot and asks for this chick's number.

I doubt anything can be done legally, since it's in Ukraine, the girl should find out regardless, otherwise she will unknownly trasmit AIDS to other (if she hasn't already). That guy should be beaten to a bloody pulp, and castrated. However, the girl's at fault too, protected sex is not something practiced very often in the former USSR.

I'll tell my friend to have a word with Luke and, in case it fails, send the sms. As for the latter option, which was my friends' first idea, it worries me a bit because of what John would do to my friend in such case (it won't be hard to find out who sent the sms), as I don't know anything about him. Anyone got a solution for this side effect? She's willing to tell (no need to crucify her as some of you have been doing... she found out about it 30 min before going to sleep and sending me the e-mail).

Thinking about it now...i dont think it matters about how your friend makes mary feel by telling her...because there is no easy way to tell her, no matter who says it. Mary will probably hate your friend...but to be honest i dont think it matters, because your friend might be saving her life.
