You said something there that caught my attention. If I say: "Hey, man, check out what I made" I don't get a big reaction from my buddies. But if I'm playing a CD and I put one of my songs, they actually notice the song and say they like that particular one. And when I tell them it's made by me, they kinda loose the interest...like their hearing changes. Oh well, hehe.

It think they get kicked in their gut's when you have made something they like, its the feeling like they been left behind "while they been hanging out you been hammering away forgeing a new tune gaining knowledge all the time. tell you even a better 1 ,,, fits in with the hearing change thing,

sitting in a friend's van going to a party (same m8 as before driveing) with a few poeple in the back , he was playing a mix tape he mixed and its moved on in to some heavy tech\trance, there was some comments like "tune & whats this tune called ect ect" they was told the last 3 and next 2 was all by me, oh was the reply, u sure, next tune dropped in then thay started piss takeing "i thought some of the comments was real spitefull and they hurt a bit, until good m8 (driver) said oh thats funny, shame the record lable whos party your going to didnt think the same thing or you lot would be sitting at home playing old playstation games tonight, what really rubbed it in was " and if you really like the tune your gonna have to wait a few weeks before its released then you can buy it" "SILENCE" another natural russsshhhhh,.. only one person in that van is still a friend thats the driver/guy on sofa,.. but i gotta give him big credit, he never knocked me and what i do in fact he pushed, and the fact it was him and his dj m8's that helped few of my tune's get released back then,.

btw, to finish that night out, they had to make there own way back home hahhahahahaa

SAP consultant... also reflects strongly in my tunage. Very progressive and structured very neatly with a lot happening at once :P

I'm a network engineer as well! that makes three of us in this post.

I don't think my job makes a difference to the way I make music, but all the science I had to study at College and University makes it a lot easier to understand how sound works and how a sound changes if you do this and that to it.

so that brings us to the question. What were the famous musicians before they became famous DJs and producers, e.g.

Ferry Corsten

I guess everything we do, everything which has happened in our lifes, the people who are our friends, parents, brother, sisters, girlfriends (...) take an influence ( as we influence them, too )
on the way we live our life, on the way we create our music.
