For example my last cd (from one year ago, not made a good once since ) starts off with G&D type stuff, then goes though uplifting, then ends on tech-trance.

You should do whatever you want though, but I wouldnt' recommend huge increases in pitch (like starting off with 120bpm prog then going to 150bpm hardstyle within 60 minutes) because it might be quite noticible, but at the end of the day, the whole point of being a DJ is playing whatever you want, and hopefully the listeners will like too.

u get wot i mean. basically how do other djs build up there mix c.ds

if you can jump all over the place between different styles and still make it sound good then fair play to you, you have some sort of a gift!

however i think most people would agree that you should play tunes in an order so that you gradually build the energy throughout the set. i personally always start off with prog trance and end with a few nice uplifting trance tunes.

You might just as well hang your member out of the window, same effect.

And on-topic (I think I understand a bit better now): I keep my mixes practically in the same style, though building up from softer tracks to somewhat harder. Most people here would call my soft tracks hard though.

A lot depends on the mood, but maybe due to my music preference there seems to be some pattern in the way I mix.

I regularly start proggy, though be it breaks/trance/house, my mixing style usually slowly builds and I'll select a tune in that mix that has a lot of energy somewhere half way. Then all tunes after this tend to be a little more uplifting.

I would never limit myself to this though, but looking back at some of my mixes there is definately some pattern.
