I think this guy is a Canadian because there is no way that an American would know all the little details that this guy does.

Either that or this guy dated some girl in windsor and she dumped him and now hes all bitter...

The one point he does make that is valid though is the one about our healthcare. Otherwise he makes no sense at all.

Ya right Canada sucks at hockey, because they didn't win the gold medal since the 50's? Why can't they get it through their thick heads that Canada doesn't care about international hockey!? They play international rules, they have a few shitty weeks of training, and don't care if they win anyways, Canadian players care about the cup. European teams play together all year, and play their own rules on their own rinks which makes a huge difference.

The ahh, content of that page is a bit dated. However, I actually would take pride in a lot of the things he makes fun of us for.
IE the midget tossing law.
I'd love to hold a midget tossing competition to see if the cops knew about a law like that and shut us down.

That page is hilarious. So much of it is so true! C'mon people, have a little sense of self afacement!

This guy is dead on re: several points. For example:

Health Care - We go around touting the virtues of our health care system, our socialized medicine, despite the fact that it's a third rate sars breeding sinkhole that gives ZERO patient freedom. In reality, our health care system ranks lowest compared most western countries regarding timely access and per capita expenditure (oh, but at least it's universal!) Yay! Universal access to overpriced third rate health care! lol

Terrorism - Bin Laden has stated Canada as the 5th (out of 7 countries) that should be attacked. Pretty much all those other countries (ie US, Spain, Aussies at Bali, US, Israel) have been attacked. I hope we're not next, but let's face reality folks...Our values are a perfect image of American values (ie secular state, pluralism, democracy, etc...). Does anyone really think that the terrorists will say.."gee, those Canadians, they're so polite and nice and have multiculturalism, I think we'll spare them." mmmm....no.

Although alot of the other stuff he states is contains wild extrapolations, and it all comes down to personal likes and dislikes (ie sports and movie stars), there is some points that are so true: Canadians have a pride that is really a mask for jealousy and envy of the US (despite our almost indiscernible similarities with the US) and we have a culture that embraces dehumanizing collecivism over individual freedom.

Don't mean to sound anti-Canadian, it's just funny to see so much "blind-patriotism" among Canadians...which is exactly what Canadians accuse Americans of. I love Canada. There's lots to be proud of that you rarely hear getting mentioned. For instance, Canada is the leader of the G8 countries in economic growth right now! We're smoking the States on that one. By virtually all economic indicators, we are full steam ahead.

my idea: the world should be 1 nation, and their has to be one religon. the name of the nation: electronic, and the name of the religon: trance.

It seems most "Canadian Pride" is nothing more than Anti-Americanism at best. Don't you have ANYTHING to be proud of that doesn't relate to the U.S.?
