Kids don't know shit. They vote for whoever the president now is because they don't know any better. I read about one of these polls like a week ago and it was something like 68-32 Bush. That's just asinine.

Actually, the younger assortment of kids get their information through their parents. So we can somewhat see how their family will vote.

Anyways, the younger voters who came from foreign countries have more of an idea of which candidate to vote.

I doubt kids 1 through, say, grade 8 can form any logical basis for their opinion on the issue, and they probably don't even pay attention to what their parents think. Do you think mommy and daddy are going to push their political views on some 8 year old? The kids just see who has been on TV for the past 4 years and assume they are the right man for the job. People in grades 9-12 can somewhat more intelligently form their own opinions on the candidates, but this group is more likely to pay attention to their parents beliefs and just follow them.

My parents were always condemning the democrats as far back as I can remember... I think it really depends on which school it was taken at. Innercity NY is probably a lot different than rural Texas.

For the most part, you're right. Growing up, I did get mixed up in the whole political thing with my parents. Guess I was speaking off personal experience.

That's true but it seems that a lot of the kids just don't plain care about it so they'll jump on the majority bandwagon to NOT feel left out.

Socialism isn't necessarily bad, it's the execution of it which has usually caused so many problems. Partial socialism has worked out very well in the UK and Canada.

I never followed politics very closely, and still don't but I sort of wish I knew who and what to be able to make my own decision.

and the thing is, that i think most people in the WORLD probably don't judge for themselves (even if they think they do), but vote for a certain person because either
1) their parents preach it at home, so it must be right
2) their friends have strong vocal opinions because THEIR parents preached at home
3) don't know who to vote for, so they vote randomly
4) they vote for a certain person because of mass media influence.

oh man u guys are gonna freak when u find out hes voted back in. u guys lost ur right to vote. if anything im not attending no parties just getting my sniper rifle cleaned in time for the verdict
