[picky bastard rant]

Where is an election-sticky when you need one. Or an election forum for that matter..

Be Cool!

This is insane. Bush spent so much money attacking Kerry and the South still wont vote for a Democrat since civil rights were passed. The environment never once came into the election process and so many things were just glanced over in 2 minute segments in the debates. This electoral system is completely wrong and the problem is the only people who can change it are those who arein office, that benefit from it. "Campaign finance reform" supposedly passed, but more money was spent this year by far than ever before and Tom Delay violated the law to manipulate Texas and redistrict 8 years too early to gain at least 5 seats. If 9/11, which for some reason people think makes him great, never happened, why would all these people be supporting Bush? Arggggggggggggh!

There should be a sticky in COR where all people can let out their laments and harsh comments about the outcome of this election. This thread is juts another one of those. This is COR material, no content but discontent.

I feel sorry for world peace.

I feel sorry for homosexuals and women who decide they want an abortion.

I feel sorry for innocent troops that will die overseas

I feel sorry for innocent civilians that will die as a result of conflict/war

I feel sorry for a country that has been destroyed, and is now arguably just as unsafe as it was under a brutal, evil dictator

I feel sorry for all Americans who will lose more civil liberties (to go with freedoms that have already been impinged on)

I feel sorry for all Americans who travel overseas - only then will you truly understand the damage George Bush has done to America's image.

I feel sorry for those poor people who have to live in a culture of fear heightened by their own elected government.

*Shock, Awe*

You aren't the least bit surprised that, during an extremely important election, some of the discussion might spill over into both the COR and the political forum? Relax.

Be Cool!

Another problem too is a lot of intended voters couldn't vote, mainly in urban, highly democratic areas. Shouldn't there be more polling places or longer voting hours if people are standing in line for hour after hour. How many people went right after work at 5 and didn't make it to the front of the line by 7?
